Night of the points banquet. Just a lot of eating, laughing, having fun and hanging
out went on.  Good food and good friends. If you didn't come, you just missed out.

weather permitting.

What a night for tearing up jack, And not even a full moon to get the blame! Did
anyone get to go home without some sort of car problem? But, as we say, " as long
as you're having fun!"

:: September 5th, No Racing ::

Everyone have a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend.  See you next week,
September 12th.

Did anyone else get to see the moon tonight? It's a rare and awesome sight to see
the moon in a red-orange color.  Anyway.... so Brandon was back tonight with his
late model, now it definitely has problems.  Hank hasn't even opened the car hauler
to access the situation from last week. Rumor has it, that he was dodging a rabbit...
Thanks to all who came out tonight, and boy was it a hot day. Hope everyone had a
good time. See ya next week.

:: August 1, 2009 ::

It's getting closer to school starting back and everyone is settling back down a little.
Another exciting evening of racing.  Brandon's motor may be blown and Hank, well
um, he wrecked in the straight stretch. You probably won't see those late models
return until next year.

:: July 25, 2009 ::

This week is a repeat of last week for sure.

:: July 18, 2009 ::

Summer is definitely here: hot days, hot nights, unpredictable weather, vacation
season, and anything else that you can relate to. But, all is good at Rockcastle
Speedway.

:: July 11, 2009 ::

Welcome back racers. Hope everyone had a good 4th of July.  Plenty of racing and
fun going on here.  Pretty good eating too.

:: July 4, 2009 ::

No races for this weekend.   Remember and be thankful for what this Holiday
means for each and everyone of  us, cause it could be a whole lot worse of a place
to live. Everyone have a happy and safe Independence Day Celebration. Racing will
resume on July 11th.

Hello to good weather, we're finally getting to race. It's been a very good night with
plenty of racing. A very warm welcome goes out to the new visitors as well as to the
regulars, I know we can't leave you guys out.  Maybe you've heard, maybe you
haven't, but Stan and Pork Chop, have been interviewed by Burning Rubber Radio,
broadcast on Cool Gold 96.7 FM and The Wolf 1400 AM, and exclusively on the web
at http://www.highspeedradio.com, Monday nights, 9pm.  Who will call in next?
Maybe it'll be you! Thanks to Stan for donating $25 dollars for the drawing on the 5th
race. Congrats to Waylon for winning the Burning Rubber T-Shirt. Also, congrats to
Steve for the $50 win. Race results are posted in the date link above.

:: May 27, 2009 ::

Between Rain and Holidays, we mells well take off for the month of May, maybe we
can race this weekend coming.

:: April 25, 2009 ::

Spring is a wonderful time of year. We just don't get much better days than we had
today.  This weekend was much less eventful, but full of racing. Carolyn was back
out too, arm sling and all, but no racing.  But, as soon as she gets well, she'll be
back in it again.  Update: The car fatality is trying to be resurrected...more to come
on that.

Steve is taking over, you all are gonna have to try harder to block him. The winners
for today are Steve going home with three, Corey beat Steve to win the fourth race,
and Bo beat Steve to win the second race. Waylon won his very first race tonight,
way to go Waylon!

Night racing will begin next weekend, May 2nd, however, Points racing will NOT
begin until June 6th to give everyone time to get themselves or their cars running
correctly. You will have to be club members for the points to count, so get this took
care of before then. If coming up with $100 club dues is a problem, you may pay an
extra $25 a week for the next four weeks and it will be took care of.

:: April 18, 2009 ::    Wreck at the Rock

We had another beautiful day for racing.  A good crowd to turn out too. You know
what, things are usually pretty noisy but uneventful around here.  And all was good,
all day, until the very last race, six races, 5 winners, 1 fatality (one less car that is),
poor Abe.  And the unlucky lady for today is Carolyn.  The last race was about half
way through when she came out of turn 4 and the car broke loose. She hit the
outside wall, broke the front wheel on the passenger side, slid back across the
track and hit the retaining wall on the other side, also breaking the front wheel on
the driver's side.  Carl will find out that cars left on pit road are there at their own risk.
Now, rumor has it that Roger Frye is somehow behind this since he was the last
one to work on the car.  We talked to Carolyn on Sunday and she said she hadn't
moved all day and was bruised every where the belts touched, but other than that,
was okay. Steve's taking on a few duties now. On a more positive note, Happy
Birthday to Bo Rains for turning one year older this week. You have to ask him that
secret number, cause I don't know.   And the results for tonight, Steve going home
with two wins, and one each for Brian, Corey and Hank. Good job to everyone and
thanks to all who came to Carolyn's aid and clean up.  Carolyn provided the pictures
of her eventful evening.

:: April 11, 2009 ::

Let's see, I remember that it was a fairly pretty day. Yes, we had some racing going
on. Hank had to leave early to attend an Easter Dinner at church. When he has to
leave early, I don't receive any results to put on the website. So, that tells you who
does most of the work around here. Sam, you need to get on the ball here......
Which means Melissa didn't get results until after the race for the 18th. I guess it's
better late than never.  And the results are pretty fair where racing is concerned. 5
races and 5 different winners. And the winners are, Brandon, Steve, Carolyn, Goob,
& Corey.  Good job everyone!

:: April 4, 2009 ::

Gentlemen, start your engines! And what a beautiful day to open racing season
with, just hope it will last. All went well for the first day back, no scuffs and bumps,
just good clean fun. Lets give a hand for the boys and their wins today; Bo with
three, Brandon with two and Brian with two. We hope everyone had a good time.
Have a safe week and we'll see you next saturday, April 11th.

:: April, 2009 ::

The regular season is starting and the track will be open every Saturday (weather
permitting) starting with the first Saturday, April 4th, from 12:00 to Dark-30.

:: March, 2009 ::

Okay, so it's winter time in Kentucky, and if you don't like the weather, just look
outside in a couple of hours and it will change. Warm on Mondays, snow or just
plain Cold on Saturdays, I guess it could be worse. Due to the drizzly rain that hit
Saturday, there were no races.  But there's good news ahead...Spring is on it's way.

:: February, 2009 ::

Hope everyone is okay from when we met last. Hopefully none of you forget your
sweethearts today, or it could be a long night when you get home! Looks like we
had a pretty fair day even if the weather girl said it would be COLD, 50's is cold, but
far better than 30's. Given that it's sweetheart's day and the fact that it was
supposed to be colder, a few of us showed up. But, that's all it takes.

Lightning is back up and trying to run, he might need a little push...
We're not officially racing yet, just playing for now. But these guys want to know who
did what for the day anyway. So, lets give a hand for, Goob with the #8 car, Bo with
the #12 car and an extra hand for the new man this week, Steve with the #88 car.
Three races and three winners, that's pretty fair.

Our next play day is March 14th.  It's that time of year again, enrollment is open for
club membership,  dues, and claiming your number. Official racing will begin
sometime in April (more to come soon). See you there!

:: January, 2009 ::

Hope everyone has had a positive start to the new year. We've archived the stuff
from last year. We just might  be open if the weather is right, expect the unexpected.
See you at the track. Lightning is almost well enough to be able to run again.  We
met Saturday and sorta just goofed off and didn't really race.

Update: Jan 27, 2009
Please extended your sympathy and remember Sam and Sue during the loss of
their puppy, the little white dog, Buford.  The Big Guy was 13 years old. He had been
sick for the past year or so, suffering with heart problems and an ever growing
tumor, as well as some sight loss, and hearing loss. We are sorry to say that the
little fella is no longer with us, but he won't suffer anymore.
