RULES SPECIFIC TO LATE MODEL SERIES
(All vehicles must comply with General Rules, except where exempted in this section)

A. BODIES
         1.      Body must be stock appearing, aluminum, fiberglass, or metal.
2.        No Five Star Downforce bodies.
3.        6 1/2 inch spoiler maximum.
4.        Spoiler height 41” maximum.
5.        Roof height 46” minimum at 10 inches behind windshield.
6.        No solid right side windows (minimum 12” gap)

B. SAFETY
        1.       Fuel cell required, MUST be mounted behind rear axle.  22-gallon maximum. 9-
inch ground clearance at 3-inch ride height, 10-inch at 4-inch ride height.
         2.       Left side window net required.
        3.       Seat belt and shoulder harness required.  All belts must be quick release types
(minimum 3-inches wide).  Harness must be type that comes individually over both
shoulders.  Racing seat only.  Seat must be bolted to roll cage.  Highly recommended you
use a full containment seat.
        4.       Two (2) drive shaft supports are required.  No carbon fiber drive shafts permitted.  
Drive shaft must be painted white.
         5.       Fire suits are required.
         6.       Roll bars minimum 1 3/4 inch tubing with .095 thickness wall.
        7.       a. Must have minimum 2-pound fire extinguisher with a gauge and a quick
release mounted securely in car within reach of driver while belted in car.
                  b. Highly recommended, at least a 5 pound to 10 pound fire bottle with at least
two nozzles spraying into driver's cockpit.
        8.       All weight (lead) must be mounted above frame/inside frame rail with a minimum
of two (2) 1/2-inch bolts. All weights are to be painted white with the car number painted on
each piece.  
        9.       Fuel line must be braided stainless steel hose.  If it passes through the interior it
must be run in 1-inch conduit.
      10.       Driver's compartment in all areas within driver's hand reach must be padded.
      11.       All drive comfort systems must be mounted in driver's compartment and secured
safely.
      12.       No adjusters inside driver's compartment other than front to rear brake bias.  This
means no sway bar, weight jackers, or shock adjusters.

C. SUSPENSION
        1.       Wheelbases of 101 inches to 105 1/2 inches.  Fabricated or clip cars.
        2.       Engine may be moved rearward so the left front plug is no more than 4 inches
behind the left ball joint.  No further back.
        3.       Maximum tread with 66 1/2 inches, center wheel to center wheel.
        4.       Ground clearance to frame MUST be a minimum of 3 inches with driver.
        5.       Engine crankshaft must be no less than 10 inches from ground with driver.
         
D. MACHINED ENGINES
        1.       Engines may be interchanged within different car bodies.
        2.       Flat top pistons with zero (0) deck clearance.  
        3.       Any type of flat tappet cam.
        4.       Roller camshaft allowed (see weight rules).
        5.       Lifter must be stock size.
        6.       Dry sump permitted (must add 25lbs) (see weight rules).
        7.       No porting or polishing of heads anywhere.  No deburring (see weight rules).
        8.       No vacuum leaks between intake valve and top of carburetor.
        9.       Any adapter (metal or fiber) must be centered on intake.
      10.      Adapter plate and gaskets cannot exceed 1 1/2 inch in thickness.
      11.       No aluminum blocks allowed.
      12.       No vacuum pumps on crate or built engines.

E. MACHINED ENGINE CARBURETORS
        1.       Authorized carburetor will be 500 CFM Holley 4412 two-barrel with round hole.  
Top and bottom of carburetor may be checked for 1 11/16 throttle bore and 1 3/8 venturi.  1.5"
maximum carburetor spacer permitted.

F. CRATE ENGINES
        1.       The following crate engines are approved for the season: GM Part #88958602;
GM Part #88958603; GM Part #88958604; Ford Part #M6007-D347; or Dodge Part
#P5007958.
        2.       Engines must remain stock as they come from manufacturer - NO CHANGES (i.e.
rocker arms, intake, etc.) (see weight rules).
        3.       All Chevy crate engines may run MSD distributor and Crane ignition unit, same as
ASA.
         4.       May run 1 inch spacer under carburetor.
        5.       Two (2) one-piece open hole gasket maximum - 0.065 inch thickness that
matches the interior dimension of the carburetor throttle base plate. Maximum thickness
INCLUDING spacer is 1 1/8 inch with no air leaks.

G. CRATE ENGINE CARBURETOR
        1.       Must run Holley carburetor model No. 4150, Part No. 805411 650 CFM four-barrel.
Carburetor must remain absolutely stock. Jets, air bleed jets, and power valves may be
changed. No other modifications of any kind will be permitted.

H. WHEELS AND TIRES
        1.       Wheels - 10 inches wide. Steel wheels only. No half sizes.
      2.      Tires - Hoosier 1070 will be track tire. May be purchased from any supplier. Tires
will be checked with durometer to insure compound is correct.

I. WEIGHT
         1.       GM crate motors 602 and 603, 2,600 lbs.
        2.       GM crate motor 604 (STOCK0 2,700 lbs.  Small balancer will be allowed at this
weight.
        3.       GM crate motor 604 with small balancer and 1.6 rocker arms, 2,750 lbs.
        4.       Ford McGunegill, 2,750 lbs.
        5.       Machined engines, 2,700 lbs.
        6.       Roller cam any cc steel head (NO port or polish), 2,750 lbs.
        7.       Roller cam any cc steel head with port and polish, 2,800 lbs.
        8.       Stock front clip cars will receive a 50lb weight break.
        9.       All weights before the qualifying and feature.
      10.       Dry sump motors must add 25 lbs.
      11.       Any engine over 360(cu in) must add 8lbs per cubic inch.
      12.       Car and driver must weigh correct before qualifying and race.
13.        Crate engines will be chipped at 6400 RPM.
14.        Built engines will be chipped at 7200 RPM.
15.        Left side weight maximum of 58%

J. TRANSMISSION/REAR END
        1.       Bert and Brinn transmissions will be permitted.
        2.       Quick Change rear ends will be permitted.

K. TRACTION CONTROL
        1.       No traction control devices of any kind allowed.  

L. CARBURETOR
        1.       Twenty-five pound weight break for any car running the following carburetor: 500
CFM Holley 4412 two-barrel with round hole.  Carburetor may be checked for 1 11/16 throttle
bore and 1 3/8 venturi.  1.5-inch maximum carburetor spacer permitted.

M. ENGINE TEARDOWN
        1.       Engines are be subject to teardown for inspection purposes.

N. REAR SPOILER
        1.       6.5-inch maximum height and 60-inch maximum width permitted on rear spoiler,
with rear bracing only, with a maximum ground height of 41”. No sideboards or
wraparounds will be permitted.

O. WEIGHT
        1.       Car and driver must weigh correct before qualifying and after race.

P. ENGINE PROTEST
        1.       Protest fee will be $500.
        2.       Only drivers taking part in the feature race that evening are eligible to file a
protest.  Drivers may only protest a car that finished in front of them in the feature race.
        3.       Any driver wishing to protest another competitor's engine must present $500
protest fee in cash to the competition director at the scale immediately following the feature
race.
        4.       Track officials check for porting and polishing, check bore and stroke, and for flat
top pistons.
        5.       If the inspection reveals the engine to be legal, the protested car's driver will
receive $400 of the protest fee, with the track receiving the remaining $100.
        6.       If the inspection reveals the engine not to be legal, the protesting driver will be
refunded $450 with the track keeping $50.
